Dr. David Tran is a Blockchain Professor at the University of Massachusetts in Boston (USA). He is very active in the blockchain space as a scientist, founder, investor, and advisor. He started his research on decentralized computing in the early 2000s. He is the Lead Editor of the first Handbook on Blockchain published by Springer. He owns a full-stack blockchain company. In Vietnam, David is a sought-after blockchain expert in both academia and industry. He is Head of the Blockchain Program at the prestigious Vietnam Institute for the Advanced Study in Math and Scientific Director of the Fintech Center at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (MIT of Vietnam). He was Chief Strategy Officer on technology for Dat Xanh Group, a multi-billion dollar company in Vietnam. David received a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida (USA).
